History

This institution was launched as an intercollegiate college for female students in 1979. It started with art subjects. In 1980, FSC subjects were also introduced. This college's teaching was started in the old building of the Civil Hospital. It moved to its present building in August 1987. In September 1989, the college was given degree status. Female students were facing significant difficulties in obtaining higher education in science subjects. And for B.SC, students had to aim for Muzaffargarh College.

With the launch of BSC classes in 2010, this problem of female students was substantially solved. On the journey of further development, ADS-ADA classes were launched in 2021, and BS classes were launched in 2022. Despite the lack of permanent staff for some subjects in the college, the college administration has made a great effort to meet the educational needs of the students by arranging for honorary lecturers with a brilliant academic record. In addition to teaching, co-curricular activities and recitations are organized in the college. Through which they are given all-round moral training, deserving, intelligent, and hardworking students are given scholarships by the Punjab Educational Endowment Fund, Lahore. A book bank was established under the auspices of the Student Welfare Society. From which many deserving students are benefiting. Now this college is considered among the best colleges in the district. This institution has always maintained a high standard for academic results. Even today, teachers are doing an amazing job. This institution is continuously playing an important role in nurturing individuals who contribute positively to the world and uphold the values of knowledge, integrity, and social responsibility.
